Work Experience
Member of the American Society for Cancer Research and resident physician at the Medical Center of University of Pittsburgh. During the undergraduate studies, Dr. Liu used rat disease models to study Alzheimer's disease, the research field at medical school involved human subjects, complex magnetic resonance imaging image processing, genetics, and bioinformatics. During the doctoral period, he analyzed the complex interactions in the tumor microenvironment to study pancreatic cancer in human samples and mouse models. By studying the clinical pathological data of human and mouse pancreatic tumors and analyzing the RNA sequencing results, he published evidences of which inhibiting the renin angiotensin system can partially normalize the tumor microenvironment, reduce the vascular pressure in the tumor, and improve the chemotherapy effect. After doctoral graduation, he turned to the research on the metastasis and progress of pancreatic cancer, and the clinical and transformation of tumor microenvironment.
